Aretha Franklin poster by Milton Glaser – 1968 –

The poster was created by legendary graphic designer Milton Glaser, the red, blue, purple and gold colors are about as rich and varied as Franklin's legendary voice. She turned her voice into a political tool when she opened the Democratic National Convention in Chicago in August with a rendition of "The Star-Spangled Banner." Her stirring rendition of the patriotic song angered many older Southern Democrats in the crowd and highlighted the country's social and racial divisions.

Elle a transformé sa voix en un outil politique lorsqu'elle a ouvert la Convention nationale démocrate à Chicago en août avec une interprétation de « The Star-Spangled Banner ».
